We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Environmental Project Manager to join our Assessment and Remediation team in Calgary, AB. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and meaningful projects across the mining, waste management, oil and gas, industrial, municipal, provincial, and federal sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and project management expertise on environmental assessment and remediation projects.
Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring strong relationships and high client satisfaction.
Oversee project performance, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, and schedule.
Communicate regularly with regulators, clients, and internal technical teams.
Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory submittals, and project documentation.
Develop strategic proposals and budgets for new opportunities.
Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Supervise subcontractors, field staff, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
Exhibit personal safety leadership in all aspects of project execution.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in environmental remediation and/or reclamation projects.
Proven experience managing Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments.
At least 6 years of proven project management experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of relevant industry experience.
Professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., or P.Ag.) in Alberta.
Working knowledge of CCME, APEA, AER, CER, and IOGC environmental regulations and guidelines.
Experience with regulatory applications and documentation in Alberta.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and client management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
Willingness to adopt and learn digital tools, including AI-based solutions.
Positive, proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
