AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Civil (Roads) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of road construction activities in accordance with project specifications and local regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, contract documents, and health and safety standards
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines
- Prepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findings for the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve site issues promptly
- Monitor and maintain records of contractor resources, equipment usage, and material testing
- Assist in the preparation of project-related correspondence and documentation
- Participate in client inspections and coordinate with project stakeholders
- Oversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover processes of site works
- Conduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans
