Working from within the Clients & Marketing team, as the First Nations Strategic Pursuits Lead, your primary responsibility will be to bring First Nations expertise to AECOM’s strategic pursuits, in compliance with client requirements, resulting in AECOM projects that are culturally informed and deliver improved social value outcomes for First Nations communities.
You will be responsible for maintaining cultural probity, within your own work and that of the Strategic Pursuits Team, ensuring that AECOM’s work is culturally appropriate, respectful of First Nations communities and is consistent with external policies, best practices and contemporary expectations.
Working at all times to care for Country, your work will enable the preparation of strategic pursuits and delivery of projects that maintain cultural integrity and improve the lives of the people from the communities in which we work.
This is a full-time, three-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide First Nations Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support bid preparation and project delivery, including inputs relating to First Nations suppliers, recruiters and training organisations.
- Maintain cultural probity and ensure First Nations intellectual and cultural property is respected in AECOM workstreams.
- Advocate for First Nations perspectives across AECOM’s operations, aligning with Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) pillars.
- Build and maintain supply chain, training and recruitment options and strategic relationships with external stakeholders to uplift AECOM’s First Nations agenda.
- Stay abreast of socio-political issues influencing First Nations communities to guide best practices.
