About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our team. This person will have a critical role in helping to build out our sales department and bringing in new business. The ideal candidate has proven success in hunting and closing new deals within a lean and agile environment with an emphasis on growth and collaboration. We act as strategic partners to our clients every step of the way, starting with a highly consultative pre-sales process and creating a collaborative strategy with the client.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire and retain commerce brands looking for digital marketing and Shopify development services
- Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the Shopify ecosystem
- Work closely with Head of Sales to align sales strategies with company objectives
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders
- Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with marketing, account management, and product teams to enhance customer acquisition and retention
- Drive the adoption of CRM tools, sales automation, and data-driven decision making process
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Stay updated on commerce trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to refine sales strategies
Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years’ experience in digital marketing, commerce, or SaaS, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Shopify, digital marketing strategies, and commerce growth tactics
- Proven ability close mid-to-enterprise-level deals in the commerce space
- Experience managing and scaling high-performance sales teams
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
- Data-driven mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
- Experience with CRM tools (preferably Hubspot) and sales automation
- Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Existing network or connections within the commerce and Shopify ecosystem
Travel Expectations
- Attend at least 30% of scheduled events (i.e., dinners, conferences, HH). Based on 3 events per quarter (1/month), you will attend at least 4 events within a calendar year
