Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts while optimizing working capital
- Analyze material usage trends and collaborate with production control and process engineering to improve forecast accuracy
- Create and release purchase requisitions according to lead times and production schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material availability and ensuring on-time delivery of materials and components
- Generate and analyze material requirement forecasts based on production plans
- Track and report material-related metrics and KPIs
- Participate in supply chain and material planning improvement and optimization initiatives
- Identify opportunities and support cost reduction and process improvement efforts through efficient material planning
- Identify and resolve material shortages through expediting, substitutions, or production schedule adjustments
- Collaborate with cross-functional team including manufacturing, procurement, finance, development, quality and logistics teams
- Maintain accurate material master data in enterprise systems
- Responsible for ISO, BCMS, SOX compliance.
