The Commodity Manager shapes the company鈥檚 global supply base through strategic sourcing, supplier leadership, and cost management. This role develops category strategies, secures contracts, and unlocks supplier-enabled innovation to deliver measurable savings and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps.
- Lead supplier selection, RFI/RFP/RFQ, and negotiations for LTAs.
- Drive supplier segmentation, QBRs, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity targets.
- Identify and mitigate risks across capacity, supply continuity, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, and R&D for innovation and design-to-cost.
- Architect and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies, including supplier qualification, contractual frameworks, and quarterly governance reviews.
- Monitor industry trends, supplier performance, and financial health to identify risks and drive timely strategic actions.
- Lead competitive sourcing and contract negotiations to achieve both cost savings and cost avoidance.
