The Product Engineer position in Nanshan, Shenzhen, China, is a critical role focused on HDD-Media-Head performance characterization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following essential duties:
- Direct and oversee the Media Process Engineering team to optimize processes for superior Media performance in HDD systems
- Engage in strategic collaboration with cross-functional teams to rigorously define and refine product specifications and requirements
- Systematically analyze and enhance existing products to achieve optimal yield performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
- Provide comprehensive support for Media performance optimization throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial development to high-volume production
- Maintain a thorough and current understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advanced manufacturing processes
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations
- Spearhead and implement critical digitalization initiatives in manufacturing operations
- Implement and oversee data-driven decision-making processes utilizing advanced analytics
- Develop and apply sophisticated AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield, reliability, and performance trends
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive real-time dashboards for critical KPI monitoring
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute significantly to knowledge dissemination within the team
