ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The student intern will support the team through the following:
- Assist in design and development of manual or automated tooling fixtures under engineer supervision.
- Support engineering evaluations: tolerance checks, GR&R, basic DOE activities, and data collection.
- Help prepare technical documentation: drawings, BOM updates, preventive maintenance sheets, setup sheets.
- Support engineers in vendor coordination activities (follow-ups, data preparation, receiving samples).
- Collect and analyze production or lab data to support tooling improvement projects.
- Assist in preparing review materials (TDRD, FMEA, concept review slides).
- Support eTRF/ePDM updates and digital document organization.
- Provide hands-on assistance in lab prototypes, basic assembly, simple measurements, and test preparation.
- Coordinate logistics for small builds or prototype parts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by engineering mentors.
- Provide guidance to local vendors to improve services and capabilities to meet factory demands
- Perform other duties as assigned.
