As a Cost Manager in our expanding Canberra office, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert cost management services across various stages of construction projects, particularly for government agencies such as the Department of Education, Defence, and Health.
- Developing and maintaining detailed cost plans, from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client budgets.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality.
- Preparing and analysing tender documentation, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
- Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to ensure best value for our clients.
- Monitoring and reporting on project costs, including cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete analyses.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilising CostX software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimating and reporting.
- Staying across industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact project costs.
- Representing Turner & Townsend at client meetings and industry events, upholding our strong reputation and values.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and proposal writing to secure new projects and clients.
- Ensuring compliance with Turner & Townsend's quality management systems and procedures.
- Participating in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance your expertise in cost management practices.
