Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking a Critical Environment Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the closeout of all post-handover issues on projects and will be supported by a site-based PM team during the construction, fit-out and commissioning and handover phases of the project, ensuring that each project meets the specifications, guidelines and standards which may be adjusted from time-to-time based on best practices and Lesson Learned drawn from previous projects.
The role is including coordinating with key stakeholders, vendors and contractors as well as third parties. The role will involve working closely with teams to ensure on time closeout of project critical plant and equipment issues.
Responsibilities include:
- Issue identification and resolution management with contractors, vendors, and client engagement participation from different teams.
- Implement project procedures and use reasonable endeavours to ensure that this procedure is always observed
- At the offset of your involvement on the project all deliverables and role requirements will be reviewed with both the Lead project PM and client program lead to ensure that all client specific requirements and deliverables are addressed.
- Liaise with the team, consultant team and Contractors to establish, review and regularly update the register. Agree and monitor Risk Mitigation Plans and provide input into quantitative risk analysis review
- Liaise with the team and establish a structure and procedure for quality management.
- Check the safety policy and processes prepared by the Contractor. Prepare recommendations/ comments.
- Lead the implementation of all key project processes and monitor these processes, reporting and making recommendations to the client team
- Set up, chair and minute project closeout, campus co-ordination and meeting ensuring that team is fully informed
- Take regular site walks to promote and observe safety and progress, report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion
- Assist in the review and assessment of proposed variations in the works and of any actual or anticipated delays to the progress of the works
- Regularly conduct site inspections and obtain progress and quality reports
- Monitor live DC closeout works, record and report non-conforming work and drive the team for follow up, preventative and close out actions
- Coordinate with the client team, consultant team and the contractor on all snagging activities, including the schedule and stakeholder engagement
- Lead the handover plan, monitor, and track the preparation of documentation
- Engage with vendors and contractors to ensure efficient closeout of all issues in a hyper controlled manner
