The roles of Project/Site Engineer involves coordinating all aspect of project works assigned by conducting site visits, managing access to construction areas, and ensuring effective communication among internal partners and external contractors. Responsibilities include preparing progress reports, developing handover checklists, tracking punch lists, and representing in coordination and handover meetings. The position requires maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
- Assist Senior/ Project Managers in delivering projects on time and to quality standards.
- Support project governance, documentation, and systems throughout the lifecycle.
- Maintain and manage project files including contracts, purchase orders, permits, and
- reports.
- Track project schedules, budgets, invoices, and change orders.
- Coordinate and document project meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action
- items.
- Support monthly reporting and executive dashboards.
- Serve as a central point of contact between internal teams (engineering, operations,
- procurement) and external stakeholders (contractors, vendors).
- Assist with vendor coordination, including bidding, contracts, purchase orders, and
- deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and suppliers.
- Participate in site surveys and project reviews to verify progress and quality.
- Support equipment installation and troubleshoot technical issues during construction.
- Monitor project costs and maintain cost tracking systems (e.g., EVM).
- Assist with risk management and maintain the project risk register.
- Liaise with finance teams/cost manager to review and report on cost data.
- Manage the change control process.
- Identify opportunities to improve project management tools, templates, and
- procedures.
- Support proposal development for new projects or variations.
- Contribute to identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Proactively identify and escalate any QHSE concerns to the appropriate manager.
