The Governance Coordinator will coordinate the day-to-day governance activities across the entire suite of capex projects. Reporting to the Head of Governance, the Governance Coordinator will play a key role in implementing the governance standards for the consistent monitoring, control, reporting and assuring the controls activities within the Programmes.
Principal Responsibilities
- Act as a key representative of the Governance – implementing continuous governance improvements across all programmes.
- Maintain the governance processes and supporting documentation / tools
- Set the standards for Governance in alignment with the Corporate Governance Policy and requirements of the Portfolio Board
- Maintain regular communications with active team and business stakeholders to ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties, which may impede progress or compromise achievement of project's governance objectives
- Responsible for communication of the status of deliverables to stakeholders at an appropriate and effective level and frequency
- Contribute to the forward planning of programme and project decisions, the level of approval required and the tracking of progress towards these
- Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings and distribute minutes to all stakeholders Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
- Implement quality assurance on all governance outputs and papers, through robust review and approval cycles
- File and document control of governance submission documents. Responsible for maintaining the ‘single source of truth’ for governance documentation
- Administer the Change Control process
- In line with the Head of Governance; develop, embed, maintain and continuously improve governance processes throughout the Infrastructure Department’s Portfolio that allow strategic items and matters to flow through the governance system smoothly and successfully
- Drive best practice in governance process across the Infrastructure Department’s Portfolio
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Head of Governance and Director of Infrastructure
