The Safety Advisor (EHS Manager) is capable to organise and lead the EHS operations of new build/greenfield projects. The position will assume responsibility for the overall success of the projects safety by setting targets, supervising project GC, subcontractors, and ensuring they are attained.
Effective Safety Advisor (EHS Managers) are skilled in managing diverse operations from a distance. They have a strategic mind-set and are excellent leaders. Excellent abilities in EHS operations planning are also essential for the role.
Requirements
- Establish the general project EHS strategy and plan for project service
- Set up the reasonable project EHS goals and project management systems and procedures
- Ensure an EHS plan is setup in line with EHS requirements
- Follow up and ensure targets are met during the execution phase
- Setting up and implementing a zero-harm concept and a zero incident strategy including required documentation as per set requirements
- Setting up work instructions and risk assessments including protective and preventive measures
- Monitor availability of all required training and certificates and ensure adherence to language requirements
- Organize, collect and report observations of near misses, accidents, incidents and deviations from agreed standards and efficiently report
- In charge of construction site EHS management under supervision of T&T project manager/clients directly.
- Enforce the applicable health & safety regulation on construction site
