The Assistant Project Manager – MEP & Civil supports the planning, coordination, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and civil works in construction and interior fit‑out projects. The role ensures site coordination, contractor management, quality control, and timely project delivery in alignment with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in creating project timelines, work breakdown structures, and execution plans.
- Coordinate civil and MEP activities to ensure seamless integration during fit‑out.
- Support in reviewing IFC drawings, GFCs, BOQs, and specification documents.
2. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise day‑to‑day execution of civil and MEP works across project sites.
- Monitor concrete works, masonry, plastering, flooring, partitions, and structural modifications.
- Oversee MEP installations: HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire‑fighting, drainage, and utilities.
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, QA/QC standards, and project schedules.
3. Contractor & Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and OEMs to maintain workflow and material availability.
- Track contractor manpower, progress, productivity, and escalate any delays.
- Assist in evaluating vendor proposals, shop drawings, and material submittals.
4. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance
- Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
- Enforce adherence to safety protocols and statutory regulations.
- Assist in managing inspections, NCR closures, snagging, and de‑snagging activities.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily site reports, material delivery records, quality control checklists, and progress trackers.
- Support in preparing RA bills, bar bending schedules, and measurement sheets (civil).
- Maintain logs for inspections, test reports, and handover documentation.
6. Client, Consultant & Stakeholder Interface
- Participate in coordination meetings and present progress updates.
- Manage RFIs, approvals, and comments from consultants/clients.
- Ensure that client expectations and design intent are fully met on site.
