Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business, we are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Supervisor to join our Data Centre team in Spain.
This site-based project role is an ideal role for a quality driven professional with excellent communications and client management skills, looking to work on large impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support and direct contact with the Construction Management team
- Ensure the Clients safety requirements and local codes are met
- Review EHS oversight resources, including outsource EHS competent persons
- Ensures that the client's Health and Safety requirements are developed and included in the Health and Safety Plan and its annexes and that they are approved by the H&S Coordinator
- Reviews Safe Work Procedures with the Health and Safety Coordinator and contractor(s)
- Monitors the status of health and safety in the project, issues weekly inspections and monthly audits
- Establishes a communication plan in case of incidents/accidents in the project with the client, Project Manager, and CSS
- Issues of health and safety reports and KPIs
- Monitors the health and safety status of the project
- Attends site health and safety meetings
- Maintains communication with the health and safety managers of the contractors
- Supervises the correct logistics of the site in collaboration with site supervisors
- Supervises the correct control of access to the site, as well as the management and control of documentation relating to workers and machinery on site
- Carries out random checks on the documentation submitted by contractors in relation to H&S in order to authorize the entry of companies, workers, visitors
- Ensure awareness among project managers with regard to the subject of Safety
- Assessment and review of contractor safety plans
- Review and comment on High Risk Activities
- Apply lessons learnt and best practice
- Lead of investigations and root cause
- Provide Safety support & guidance
- Ensure synergy with the 'Safety Programme' led by Turner & Townsend.
