Specific duties of this role:
- Lead and mentor a team of application engineers in Taiwan and Korea to provide exceptional technical support to customers using Renesas MCU products.
- Help define and implement MCU related customer support strategy for the greater APAC regions to enable both pre and post sales opportunities.
- Play a hands-on role to understand and articulate Renesas MCU solutions and value proposition that meet customer needs.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations and proactively recommend products, solutions, and services needed to develop their end user applications.
- Coordinate closely with local Sales/FAE teams to support their sales goals.
- Serve as a technical expert on Renesas MCU products, providing guidance and training to internal teams and customers as needed.
- Drive the development of solutions and Proof-of-Concept designs to showcase capabilities of Renesas MCU products.
- Help develop new business by analyzing customer feedback and market trends to identify areas for product/solution improvement and new solutions.
- Manage customer escalations and coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Manage application engineering projects with partners and design houses.
- Stay updated on industry technical trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to provide insights and recommendations in engineering for MCU product roadmap.
