Lead customs compliance and trade control operations including export control for Renesas India (REIN), ensuring robust processes and regulatory adherence.
Drive strategic initiatives for compliance framework development and manage high-level stakeholder engagement.
Support the business operations of Renesas India (REIN) by providing expert guidance on trade compliance and related legal matters, enabling smooth and compliant business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee customs compliance for all import activities, including valuation, classification, and documentation.
Develop and implement compliance strategies aligned with global standards.
Establish and lead the export control framework for India, including policy development, process implementation, and training.
Ensure compliance with U.S. re-export regulations and other relevant jurisdictions.
Manage relationships with customs authorities, external consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance requirements.
Prepare reports for audits and senior management reviews.
Advise business teams on licenses, registrations, and certifications required for operations, and liaise with relevant authorities to support legal and regulatory matters鈥攊ncluding assessing eligibility, managing applications and approvals, and post-approval compliance.
Collaborate with Corporate Legal to resolve legal matters for Renesas India, providing support and coordination as needed to ensure effective handling of legal issues.
