We have an opening for a Custodian to perform custodial tasks within the Laboratory鈥檚 facilities. Due to the unique hazards at the Laboratory, the Custodian must complete site-specific safety training and adhere to all safety and security requirements. These positions are for day shift and are in the Facility Site Services Division of the Infrastructure Engineering and Operations Department. This position may require work at Site 300 located in Tracy, California.
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
You will
- Perform routine custodial tasks inside and outside buildings, which include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms and kitchens, removing trash, and replenishing supplies.
- Apply skills and knowledge of equipment and supplies applicable to vacuums, brooms, mops, and cleaning products.
- Provide good customer service and effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Request and stock supplies and maintain custodian closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Maintain custodial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
- Ensure proper labeling, dilution, and use of chemicals.
- Apply environmental, safety and health requirements in daily tasks.
- Maintain compliance with institutional and job-specific required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
