We have an opening for a Work Planning and Control (WP&C) Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Integration Manager to lead efforts in implementing a new maintenance planning process. In this role, you will ensure integration and alignment of institutional WP&C processes and procedures for the assigned functional area and interact with other managers from across the Laboratory, including those focused on mission delivery, support and services, to ensure WP&C requirements are met. You will serve as a member of the WP&C Functional Area Office management team. This position is in the Work Planning and Control Office of the Environment Safety & Health (ES&H) Directorate.
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
You will
- Provide technical leadership for integrating Work Planning and Control (WP&C) requirements, processes, and procedures based on institutional WP&C processes for the assigned functional area. Determine integration priorities based upon institutional impact.
- Lead, develop, and deploy functional elements of the institutional WP&C process, ensuring that functional requirements are met, including nuclear requirements.
- Identify and recommend changes to existing institutional processes, qualifications, and web applications necessary to support effective implementation of Work Planning and Control.
- Develop institutional requirements, processes, and governance documents, in collaboration with the WP&C Program Manager. Develop and deliver briefings to the WP&C Functional Area Manager regarding the status of metrics and performance indicators for assigned functional elements of the institutional WP&C process.
- Train and mentor managers at various levels, other SMEs, points of contact, and other Laboratory staff members and Site-Wide Service Providers to ensure WP&C is consistently implemented.
- Participate in multiple advisory and working group meetings/committees related to WP&C. May chair standing working groups and/or advisory committees to drive institutional change.
- Serve as an organizational representative to Department of Energy (DOE), Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board (DNFSB), and other external reviewers for the assigned functional area.

- Provide expert technical leadership and process development skills for the implementation of highly complex institutional requirements, processes, and procedures for subcontracted work planning.
- Provide expert training and technical leadership for the Work Planning and Control Functional Area on modified maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Brief senior management and serve as an organizational representative to internal and external reviewers for the maintenance planning function.
