Hadoop Engineer

Position: Hadoop Analytics Engineer 

Duration: 6 months with potential for additional 12 months

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Description: 

Strong Hands on Knowledge of software development practices. 

• Operational Experience within Big Data Space. 

• Prior experience working with process orchestration engines and automation tools 

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and in a team with optimal guidance and direction. 

• Experience in the Retail industry is an added advantage. 

• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills 

• 8+ years of work experience of which 5+ years of test scripting and backend automation is a must. 

• Handling and analyzing large volumes of data in a BI & DW environment is a big Plus. 

• Prior SQL, Hadoop, hive and oozie experience preferred. 

• Strong Java and scripting skills is very desirable

Education:

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
