Job Roles & Responsibilities
·Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and hands-on operations experience in a Machining environment.
·Must be proficient at Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (Blueprint interpretation)
Successful Candidate will be responsible for the following:
·Provides shop floor support for manufacturing methods and processes in machining, metal finishing and assembly operations for assigned product lines.
·Maintains Manufacturing Process Planning documentation and insures the accuracy of labor standards.
·Initiates improvements in current manufacturing methods and processes to improve part quality, schedule performance and to reduce manufacturing costs.
·Provides on-going shop floor support for all machining, metal finishing and assembly methods for assigned product lines.
·Manages projects and new product launches.
·Creates conceptual designs for fixtures, gages and special cutting tools.
·Conducts tool design reviews with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Tooling Team personnel, and purchasing personnel and outside tool suppliers.
·Completes activities of the change control policy and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system in accordance with client Corporate CAPA system.
·Completes activities of Lean Sigma projects and process improvements
