Job Summary:
路The Safety Data Specialist supports the Client by completing the data mining of chemical formulations required to support GHS hazard assessments.
路Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, or Life Sciences
路1-3 years of industry experience preferred
路Proficient with Microsoft office suites (primarily Excel, Word)
路This person will be working a desk job data mining in different systems. Determining final percentages for buffer formulations, concentrations, molarity (basic chemistry).
Job Responsibilities:
路Data mine the chemical formulation of products to support GHS hazard assessments for Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels for the company鈥檚 commercial and experimental products in compliance with applicable hazard communication regulations.
路Communicate with various departments to ensure detailed compositional and physical property data needed for the product鈥檚 hazard assessment are provided.
路Gather and review raw material health, safety, and regulatory data.
路Examine product formulation and documentation necessary for proper hazardous characterization.
路Partner with toxicologist and other regulatory personnel to apply product safety and compliance information to ensure product鈥檚 hazards are adequately evaluated and addressed on the SDS and labels.
路Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external customers
路Create and maintain product regulatory reports and documentation as required. Complete other duties as assigned. .
