Schedule:
Physician shall visit and provide Onsite Services at any Clinic location, at least once per week, with the total minimum hours across all three locations at 10 hours per month and 120 hours annually. The general schedule shall be between 8am โ 11am on Monday, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays; OR NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON DEPARTMENT NEEDS; although times may be adjusted as needed with agreement.
Physician Consultation Services
a) Provide clinical and technical medical direction for providing medical evaluation and treatment to employees and contractors.
b) Provide medical direction for โs automated external defibrillator program and Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).
c) Review and sign medical directives and protocols for Staff, for nursing care that is based on โs Health Services standard procedures, and monitor the clinical care of Employees for consistency to directives.
d) As delegated by โs Medical Director, may serve as Client's Medical Review Officer for drug screenings.
e) Promote working relationships with specialists in the community surrounding 's Location(s) to support effective medical care for Employees.
f) Consult on public health, medical, and clinical issues that may affect business operations.
g) Support meeting Health goals as it relates to Employees wellbeing through Health Promotion, Wellness and Prevention, and Employee Assistance Programs.
h) Maintain open communications and availability to Staff for consultation on clinical issues.
i) Upon request, review clinical documentation of patient care to ensure compliance and best practice.
j) Support management, environmental and safety staff, engineering professionals, ergonomics teams and other staff to help reduce workplace health hazards.
k) Provide technical information and training to Staff on an ongoing basis to ensure high quality clinical care, including training programs.
l) Provide consultation for periodic episodic medical care.
Work Related Injuries and Illnesses Services
a) Provide technical support for the evaluation, care and management, investigation and documentation of occupational exposures, injuries and illnesses of Employees.
b) Provide clinical evaluation and care for injuries and illness of Employees requiring medical support.
c) Review complex Workers' Compensation cases and provide support to Staff in developing and overseeing ease management plans for Employees.
d) Investigate and provide expert opinions in the areas of causality, compensability and record-ability.
e) Facilitate the safe and efficient return to work of injured Employees.
