Your Opportunity
Forming part of the Human Capital Risk and Compliance team this role will be responsible for;
- Providing support on engagements and participating in client service delivery across pay remediation analytics, payroll compliance reviews, internal audits, deal and industrial relations advisory support, and enforceable undertaking reviews
- With direction from others in completing client-facing tasks and assignments, delivering a high standard of quality in your work
- Supporting clients and interdisciplinary KPMG engagement teams to understand, interpret and apply employment obligations under industrial instruments
- Working closely with, and building and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues from a broad range of backgrounds (including data analytics, risk consulting, and strategy and operations) to provide practical, real-world solutions for our clients
- Demonstrating a learning and growth mindset by developing understanding and knowledge across our multi-disciplinary service delivery
- Taking proactive ownership of your goals and performance, including seeking feedback from team members and regular check-ins with your leaders

Technical:
- Interpretation of employment obligations from a variety of sources – including modern awards, enterprise agreements and legislation
- Research and document legislative history, case law, regulatory guidance and commentary to help inform understanding and interpretation of employment obligations
- Tailor application of entitlements and obligations to specific circumstances – including different working arrangements, rosters and operational requirements which may trigger pay and entitlements
- Understand and leverage data to bring meaningful insights in the delivery of our services
- You can digest, distil, and communicate complex concepts whether orally or in written form
- You enjoy working in the details, and proactively ensure accuracy and timeliness

- Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships
- Expertise in interpreting and advising on employment obligations including modern awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation and leave
- Expertise in legal research including statutory and contractual interpretation
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Experience contributing to the development of reports for an executive level audience highly regarded
Valuable (but not essential):
- Industry experience (including secondments) in industrial relations or in-house employment law
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Understanding of payroll systems and processes is advantageous
