KIPP Indy is seeking a committed and innovative Middle School Math Teacher to join our team of educators. This role requires a teacher who is dedicated to ensuring that all students develop a strong mathematical foundation through engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned math lessons that foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and promote problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Implement a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learners, including real-world applications of math concepts.
- Regularly assess student progress, analyze data, and adjust instructional practices to ensure academic growth and mastery of content.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behavior, while providing targeted support for students who need additional academic or behavioral assistance.
- Build strong relationships with students and families, ensuring consistent communication to support student success.
- Collaborate with colleagues and academic coaches to align curriculum, share best practices, and continually improve teaching practices.
- Be open and receptive to feedback, working with academic coaches to reflect on instructional practices and identify growth opportunities.
- Take ownership of your professional development and seek opportunities for learning and growth.
- Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and family engagement activities to strengthen the school community.
