Instructional Assistants support certified teachers by facilitating instructional activities, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized or small-group assistance to students. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans as directed by the lead teacher.
- Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, recess, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students needing additional assistance.
- Monitor, document, and communicate student behavior and academic progress with teachers, staff, and parents.
