Autonomy & Decision Making
The Instructional Coach leads coaching cycles and instructional support for assigned teachers. The coach supports teacher growth through observation, modeling, and feedback but does not evaluate teacher performance.
Final evaluation decisions remain with the School Leader or Assistant School Leader.
Inputs: What will I be doing in my day to day work?
Instructional Coaching
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide actionable feedback.
Lead coaching cycles including goal-setting, modeling, and follow-up.
Support teachers with lesson planning, pacing, and differentiation.
Model effective instructional strategies on a weekly basis.
Data-Driven Instruction
Support teachers in analyzing student work and assessment data.
Facilitate data discussions to improve instructional decisions.
Monitor student progress and adjust coaching strategies accordingly.
Professional Learning Support
Support professional learning aligned to school priorities.
Reinforce instructional expectations and best practices.
Collaborate with leadership to align coaching with school improvement goals.
Collaboration & School Leadership
Partner with school leadership to identify instructional priorities.
Support grade-level and content teams in strengthening instruction.
Contribute to schoolwide instructional improvement efforts.
