Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Care Assistant:
- Perform household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and tidying.
- Make, or assist to make your client's favourite meals.
- Offer companionship and social support, engaging with your client's hobbies and getting to know them.
- Support with personal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
- Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. the local shops or a café.
- Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort.
- Write accurate daily notes, keeping up strong communication with the office.
- Administer medication and record appropriately.
