Role Summary
The Power Platform Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing enterprise solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform鈥擯ower Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Power Virtual Agents. The role involves establishing architectural standards, driving best practices, ensuring solution scalability, and enabling business teams to leverage low-code/no-code tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Design end-to-end enterprise solutions using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
- Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and application lifecycle management (ALM) practices.
- Develop scalable data models and solution frameworks aligned with organizational needs.
- Lead platform modernization initiatives by migrating legacy apps to Power Platform.
Governance & Security
- Establish governance frameworks covering environment strategy, DLP policies, security roles, and compliance controls.
- Work with IT security to ensure data protection, user access controls, and role-based permissions.
- Monitor platform usage, capacity, and licensing optimization.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance to developers, citizen makers, and cross-functional teams.
- Review solution designs and ensure adherence to architectural principles.
- Conduct technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and platform capability evaluations.
Integration & Automation
- Design integrations between Power Platform and enterprise systems such as Azure services, Dynamics 365, SAP, Salesforce, and custom APIs.
- Implement robust automation workflows using Power Automate and orchestrate enterprise-wide process efficiencies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solution designs.
- Present architecture recommendations and technical roadmaps to leadership teams.
- Drive adoption and enablement through workshops, training, and best鈥憄ractice guidelines.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features, roadmap announcements, and community innovations.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend strategic adoption for digital transformation.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Dataverse, and the overall Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL).
- Experience designing enterprise-level architecture and managing multiple environments.
- Proficiency with ALM tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, and solution management.
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform connectors, custom connectors, and integration patterns.
