General objective of the role:
The technical lead is a highly senior and hands-on system administrator responsible for driving the technical strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of our servers and vulnerabilities patching team. This role requires an expert-level operational background to mentor senior system administrators, manage complex technical projects, and ensure the highest standards of system security, reliability, and performance across our global platforms. The technical lead acts as the principal point of contact for the team based in India, and aligns with other technical leads based in Quebec, Canada.
Primary functions:
Design, plan, and oversee the end-to-end execution of critical operational processes, such as large-scale Windows server patching and vulnerability mitigation programs;
Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to schedule, test, and deploy patches with minimal business disruption.
Define and standardize the use of tools like Vulnerability Manager Plus to identify, prioritize, and mitigate critical vulnerabilities across servers;
Be the primary point of contact for requests related to systems managed by the team;
Proactively identify inefficiencies in existing processes and implement improvements.
Establish documentation standards for all procedures and resolutions;
Reporting and metrics
Manages incidents to ensure rapid resolution and user communication.
Secondary functions:
Upon need, take up tasks for which he has the knowledge and capacity to maintain production operations.
