The ICFR IT Control Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's internal control framework over financial reporting meets the requirements of Provision 29 under the UK Corporate Governance Code.
Being a trusted partner to the First Line of Defence (1LoD), you will provide strategic guidance with a primary focus on ICFR IT controls. You will report to the Senior Manager ICFR Finance Controls and influence control design and governance across business and IT functions.
What you'll do:
- Assess and optimize ICFR IT controls to mitigate financial reporting risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Improve control design and governance, promoting sustainable practices across IT and Finance processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and standardization to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to improve control gaps and strengthen operational resilience.
- Ensure integration of ICFR IT controls with IT General Controls (ITGC) and maintain accurate Risk & Control Matrices (RACM).
- Monitor new risks, technology changes, and regulatory developments to keep controls aligned with global best practices.
- Provide thought guidance, and training to stakeholders on ICFR IT requirements and their impact on financial reporting.
- Act as a promoter for continuous improvement, promoting a culture of accountability and risk awareness across business and IT functions.
