The Account Director provides strategic guidance in developing and leading tactical integrated marketing plans to clients. This role serves as an extension of the client brand team and day-to-day relationship lead, addressing concerns while identifying incremental opportunities. Directors are also accountable for counseling clients on effective marketing strategy based on research and best practices to meet brand objectives.
The Account Director owns the book of business and business growth efforts. Internally, the Account Director organizes, grows, and develops the team and externally ensures health in the client relationship in and beyond the assigned brand team.

Duties and responsibilities
- The Account Director participates in vision setting for the client business, ensuring the broader team executes it through to delivery of work;
- They establish cross-collaboration with internal teams and agency partners, and foster sound relationships internally;
- Externally, the Director ensures health in the client relationship in and beyond the assigned brand team;
- This role also provides clients with research, analytical metrics, and strategic insight to develop and presents effective solutions;
- Account Directors oversee the delivery and financial impact on budget, and brand target goals and objectives with the client;
- The AD identifies, develops, and converts new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients;
- Negotiates contracts and fees with marketing directors and client procurement personnel.
