Job Description
The Analysis Manager for Cash Applications develops strategies to address analytical and technical challenges on the team and deploys team resources as needed to facilitate implementation efforts. Performs analysis on subscriber payments and exception volumes for overall US operations of up to $1.4B (monthly) including trending, customer behavior, modeling, and deploys predictive analytical capabilities to forecast key components of the business. Responsible for managing all payment reconciliations, payment and operational analytics, reporting, process volume forecasting and developer reporting performed by the Cash Applications Reporting & Analytics team. Works with internal and external partners to resolve payment vendor escalated issues including file transmission errors and payment posting issues. Works with Senior Manager to execute on the department analytical strategy and goals. Ensures compliance with SOX controls and T-Mobile key controls.
Responsible for a staff of 10 employees in the financial and reconciliation analyst and developer job families, managing their performance, providing coaching and addressing overall team development needs. Provides analytical tools and methodology training to the analyst team for development and analytical excellence.
•Develop and implement strategies to improve Cash Applications analytical and technical infrastructure within prescribed organizational constraints. Experience performing statistical analyses, predictive analytics, and driver analyses (e.g. variance analysis with simulation) are preferred
•Manage daily payment reconciliations, ensuring completion of SOX Control testing, monthly forecast volumes and red flag reporting
•Develop talent needed to address the analytical and technical needs of the team and raise the department’s collective analytical competency level.
•Resolve payment vendor escalations ensuring all address of the problem are addressed and communicate findings to impacted teams
•Provide leadership, direction and coaching to staff regarding goals, projects and tasks.
•Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
•5-10% travel

Requirements
•3-4 years people management experience
•3-4 years Analytical experience
•Proven leadership and coaching ability
•Well versed in a multitude of analytical methodologies and techniques including advanced modeling, predictive analytics (forecasting), optimization, statistical analysis ,, NPV/cost-benefit analysis, financial statement analysis, simulation/sensitivity analysis, variance analysis, data visualization, etc.
•Identify and solve problems creatively; ability to think beyond immediate consequences
•Apply independent judgment with follow-up to customers and business partners to determine direction
•Commitment to providing excellent customer service to our customers and business partners; ability to collaborate within and outside of department
•Consulting skills, Influence skills and Facilitation skills, the ability to justify and sell ideas to senior management, the ability to work in groups and teams to identify issues and solve problems. Communicate with other stakeholders as necessary
•Strong working knowledge in MS Office including Excel VBA and Visio
•Comfortable extracting and manipulating large datasets
•2 years Finance Experience preferred
•2 year in Telecommunications industry preferred
•Bachelor's degree required
