Sizewell C is one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK for a generationâproviding homegrown, lowâcarbon energy for around 6 million homes for at least 60 years. With our Final Investment Decision now complete, full construction is officially underway.

Weâre now looking for motivated, deliveryâfocused Assistant Project Managers to join the Civil Works Programme within the Nuclear Island.
The Opportunity
As an Assistant Project Manager (APM), youâll play a critical role in supporting and delivering key elements of the Nuclear Island Civil Works. Working with the Responsible Designer, supply chain partners, the Site Delivery Team and wider SZC stakeholders, youâll help ensure seamless coordination across engineering, procurement, construction and quality.
You will:
- Support Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in driving delivery across multiâdisciplinary engineering, procurement and manufacturing activities.
- Manage internal and external interfaces to ensure consistent, coordinated design and delivery.
- Maintain strong links with Hinkley Point C (HPC) teams, ensuring replication of best practices and lessons learned.
Engineering
- Develop a broad understanding of the Systems, Structures and Components (SSCs) within your programme area.
- Lead and manage engineering interfaces, clarify scope boundaries, and support replication from HPC to SZC.
- Prepare for key contract awards by understanding technical requirements across stakeholders.
Procurement
- Support early engagement with suppliers to identify risks, including obsolescence and replication gaps.
- Manage technical elements of procurement activities for specific contracts.
Construction
- Support delivery of civil structures with robust followâup and close coordination with site teams.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of construction programmes.
About You

Desirable
- Experience within the nuclear sector or other regulated engineering industries
- A formal project management qualification
Whatâs in It for You
Location: Sufflok â minimum 3 days per week in the office
Salary: ÂŁ55,000 depending on experience
Pension: Up to 7.5% employee / 15% employer
Holiday: 28 days plus bank holidays
