The Opportunity
As a Commissioning Technician, youâll help commission the electrical systems that will power one of the most significant energy projects in the UK. Your work will contribute directly to the transition towards An Electric Britain, supporting the safe and successful operation of the next generation of nuclear power stations.
Youâll join us on a competitive salary, with the opportunity to work on site at #HinkleyPointC five days a week. Youâll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, helping deliver safe, effective and efficient commissioning activities in a high hazard environment.
This role offers the chance to develop your technical expertise through hands on testing, close work with commissioning engineers, and exposure to advanced electrical control and distribution systems. Youâll gain valuable experience in a unique environment while supporting our journey towards An Electric Britain.
Who You Are
Weâre looking for a Commissioning Technician who is organised, self-motivated and committed to the highest standards of nuclear professionalism and safety. Are you experienced inâŚ
Working in high hazard industrial environments implementing safe systems of work.
Working with electrical distribution and control systems including low or high-voltage switchgear, inverters, transformers and UPS systems
Holding a time served trade apprenticeship, NVQ, Level 3 or ONC in an electrical engineering subject (or offering significant experience without the qualification)
Conducting commissioning tests, return to service tests, operational tests or maintenance tests.
Working in Industries such as Oil & Gas, Marine or Utilities or other similar environments.

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
What Youâll Be Doing
Supporting commissioning engineers with the execution of planned testing
Working safely within nuclear site licence conditions, statutory regulations and local procedures
Contributing to day today commissioning activities within multidisciplinary teams
Ensuring testing is delivered to the required standard
Identifying and escalating any unsafe conditions or practices
