Role Overview
The Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) provides strategic leadership, direction, and overall management of the company鈥檚 operations. The role is responsible for ensuring sustainable business growth, operational excellence, and full regulatory compliance within the industrial gas sector. The MD/CEO drives profitability, strengthens stakeholder confidence, and delivers long-term value to shareholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, communicate, and execute the company鈥檚 vision, mission, and long-term strategic objectives.
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including market expansion, new product development, and diversification.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Executive Management Team, fostering a high-performance culture anchored on innovation, accountability, and integrity.
- Represent the company at industry associations, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholder forums to enhance corporate visibility and influence.
- Oversee the company鈥檚 financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and optimal resource allocation.
- Provide executive oversight for core operations production, distribution, and quality assurance of industrial and medical gases.
- Drive efficiency, profitability, and return on investment through effective cost management and process optimization.
- Ensure robust risk management practices are in place to identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
- Oversee major investments, partnerships, and capital expenditure projects to support strategic objectives.
- Ensure strict adherence to all statutory, environmental, health, and safety standards governing the production and distribution of gases.
- Maintain proactive engagement with regulators such as ISO, SON, NAFDAC, and HSE authorities.
