•Creation and supervising DfR-plans

•Completeness and correct deviation of reliability requirements in accordance with internal and external requirements

•Showing consequences/risk of deviating/missing requirements

•Optimum system design for reliability

•Proposal of development topics and necessary depth of investigation in an early project phase

•Selection of right and demand of missing design rules, Approving the design regarding reliability aspects

•Evaluation of technical risk in case that deviations are decided, measures for risk minimization

•Consideration the effect of manufacturing and the complete product life cycle in reliability (tolerances, loads)

•Contribution to selection of technology & manufacturing process

•Request release of necessary resources in the projects

•Reliability assessment of the design

•Support the verification and validation concept

•Request for approval of risk assessment

•Support risk assessment and define measures to reduce risks

•Derivation of an effective and efficient verification plan by using “smart validation” methods for time and cost reduction
