Roles & Responsibilities :
The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer is a senior technical leadership role responsible for defining and driving cybersecurity architecture, strategy, and engineering practices across customer鈥檚 software products, operational technology (OT) environments, and supporting infrastructure. This role serves as the technical authority for product and OT cybersecurity, ensuring secure design, implementation, and operation of systems supporting energy storage solutions.
The position requires deep expertise in cybersecurity engineering, OT network security, cloud and infrastructure security, and industry standards. The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer collaborates closely with product, software, networking, and operations teams to embed security into design and delivery processes while balancing business and operational needs.
This role provides technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction without direct people-management responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITES
Define and lead cybersecurity architecture and technical strategy across product, OT, cloud, and network environments.
Serve as the technical authority for OT and product cybersecurity, guiding secure design and engineering decisions.
Drive security requirements into product development and deployment processes, ensuring secure-by-design practices.
Lead vulnerability management strategy, risk assessments, and remediation prioritization for customized OS.
Design and oversee secure network segmentation, access control, and monitoring approaches for OT environments.
Translate cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST, NERC CIP, etc.) into practical engineering implementations.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cybersecurity and engineering teams.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align cybersecurity priorities with product and business goals.
Evaluate and introduce new security technologies, automation, and practices to improve overall security posture.
