Our Hilsea site have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Transport Administrator you will liaise with drivers and subcontractors to dispatch, track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely delivery to customer locations and ensure accurate reporting in line with all legal, compliance and company procedures.
Salary: £26,000 per annum.
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6:30am-18:30pm.
Key Duties of a Transport Administrator:
- Ensuring the timely dispatch of drivers at front desk.
- Tracking all deliveries from the depot to customer locations.
- Issuing, checking and signing required driver paperwork upon leaving depot.
- Ensuring the transport team and customers are informed of late or delayed deliveries using the relevant contact method (automated electronic, email and telephone).
- Debriefing drivers upon return to depot.
- Completing accident, incident and near-miss reporting paperwork.
- Providing support to drivers for call-outs and breakdowns.
- Supporting drivers in completing the defect procedure.
- Building and maintaining Automatic System Notifications (ASN’s).
- Compiling and sending daily DOT reports and KPI’s to internal and external customers.
- Checking and collating driver timesheets and downloading Tacho cards on a daily basis.
- POD management.
