Colliers is seeking an experienced General Manager- Business Development to lead and grow our Fitout Design business across India. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections, an established network across major Occupiers, and a proven track record of driving large-scale business growth in the Real Estate and Interior Design sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national business development strategy for the Interior Design vertical.
- Leverage strong industry connects to secure partnerships with top Interior Designers, Large Occupiers, Architects, contractors, brokers and corporate clients across India.
- Identify new business opportunities in Commercial, and luxury interior segments.
- Drive end-to-end business acquisition, from lead generation to closure.
- Build strong relationships with CXOs, senior leadership teams, and key decision-makers in the real estate ecosystem.
- Collaborate with internal design, project execution, and operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to strengthen market positioning.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in Interior Design, Project Management, Architecture, Construction, or related industries.
- Strong, established industry network across India especially with Interior Designers, brokers, architects, and corporate clients.
- Proven ability to drive business growth and close high-value deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with design, project, and operations teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and market understanding.
- Willingness to travel across India as required.
