The Electrical Design Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development, design, and maintenance of electrical concepts, equipment, and components, ensuring alignment with the latest technological advancements while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Responsibilties:
- Analyse functional demands and requirements.
- Draft specifications based on functional requirements.
- Ensure compliance with design rules and capacity calculations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all elements.
- Oversee approval, testing, and verification of elements.
Electromechanical Technology:
- Design and dimension electrical equipment.
- Collaborate with project engineering teams to implement new technologies.
- Identify and assess emerging technologies for integration.
Project Support:
- Assist Electrical Project Engineers/Managers with product knowledge.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned projects.
- Provide product information and support to project teams.
- Provide training sessions to new employees and site integration.
- Offer on-site assistance and participate in troubleshooting activities.
Standards and Regulations:
- Stay updated on relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Understand and apply principles of Machine Directive (MD).
- Contribute to risk evaluation processes.
Test and Evaluation:
- Execute tests according to specifications.
- Ensure high-quality test specifications.
- Evaluate test results and draw conclusions.
- Facilitate and participate in review sessions.
Component Selection and Management:
- Select appropriate components for electrical systems.
- Establish component requirement specifications.
- Manage obsolescence of components.
Documentation:
- Design and maintain project documentation.
- Prepare E-plan drawings.
- Maintain product-related databases.
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000.00
The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.
