The Fleet Mechanic will complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain fleet records regarding vehicles. This position will uphold AWPās core values and mission of protecting our customersā people, business and time. The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for repairs and routine maintenance within the assigned facility or remote locations when needed.
Ā· Perform preventative maintenance activities
Ā· Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles/trailed devices; complete preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, brake systems and electrical devices/troubleshooting ā arrow boards and message boards
Ā· Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conduct inspections; repair engine failures; repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replace parts and components
Ā· Perform repair and maintenance of fleet equipment and various equipment
Ā· Experience in gasoline/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical issues, light duty and medium duty trucks with attenuators
Ā· Inspect and evaluation of fleet and equipment
Ā· Adhere to maintenance programs and procedures
Ā· Maintain asset branding procedures
Ā· Monitor and maintain vehicle equipment standards
