As a Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will join the team in Bristol to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
You will play a key role in the development and optimisation of hybrid powertrain systems for next-generation aircraft. Working at system and component level, you will develop performance models to support architecture selection, concept development, and system integration, helping drive efficient and innovative propulsion solutions for future aerospace platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain component-level models for hybrid powertrain systems including energy sources, power electronics, motors, and auxiliary systems
- Build and execute system-level performance models to evaluate efficiency, sizing, and operational behaviour
- Conduct trade studies and optimisation analyses to identify optimal hybrid propulsion architectures
- Support architecture selection and early concept development through detailed modelling and simulation
- Collaborate with battery, electric power unit, and systems engineering teams to support integration activities
- Support validation and testing activities, correlating simulation models with experimental data
- Produce technical documentation including modelling methodologies, reports, and analysis summaries
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers where required
