Manage the development, Quality Assurance (“QA”) and production database environments to ensure that the production databases are highly available, recoverable, tuned for optimal performance, and technologically current. Develop and maintain the logical data model and the physical data schema for College Board products and services. Plan, install, configure and maintain all database environments. Support the Oracle EXADATA database system, develop automation tools to run it and develop and run processes to adapt and migrate College Board corporate data systems. Design and implement industry best practices and procedures for security, recoverability and reliability. Collaborate with Software Engineering to troubleshoot and maintain production databases and to resolve production issues and outages. Contribute to the development of technical design decisions involving their databases and their use by internally created applications. Support capacity planning and the general design and integration of systems.
Education and Experience
:Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering and five (5) years of experience as a database administrator.
