Why This Role Matters
This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial closing, strong cost control, and reliable reporting for plant operations. It supports business decision-making through detailed analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking while ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
What You'll Do
Perform accurate month-end closing activities while understanding key business drivers to support reliable financial reporting.
Summarize and communicate financial and operating results against objectives. Provide qualitative analysis including variance analysis to production teams and plant leadership.
Support in preparation of realistic and challenging financial objectives, budgets, and strategic plans for the plant with a high level of financial forecast accuracy.
Ensure compliance with financial processes as well as adherence to established corporate policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
Support Loss analysis, FI pillar and plant optimization analytics.
Participate in special projects, working capital saving initiatives, involved in CPEM calculations, support actively the cost center planning process.
Coordinate year-end stock counts and WIP valuation, support controlling and external auditors, and manage plant waste reporting and forecasting.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in financial analytical skills, factory accounting and clear business acumen.
Ability to analyze and explain financial results and forecasts, with strong understanding of Goodyearâs products, policies, business practices, and support structure.
Broad exposure to diverse finance and business practices, with strong financial and business acumen.
Strong PC skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with solid knowledge of relevant systems (SAP preferred).
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy; proactive, open-minded team player able to collaborate with different levels of management.
Strong sense of urgency, able to manage multiple priorities, with effective communication and active listening skills.
