The Project Manager within Cushman & Wakefieldās Project Development Services (PDS) team is responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of real estate and facility-related projects for government-sector clients. This role supports federal, state, and local government agencies across a broad range of project types, including interior fit-outs, capital improvements, infrastructure upgrades, workplace transformations, asset repositioning, and specialty-use facilities.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
⢠Manage all phases of project delivery,including programming, planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
⢠Lead the development and execution of project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk management plans.
⢠Conduct regular project meetings, provide status reporting, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
⢠Oversee general contractors, architects/engineers, specialty consultants, and vendors.
⢠Ensure all project documentation and reporting meet Cushman & Wakefield standards and government requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
⢠Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients.
ā¢Facilitatecoordination among agencies and internal departments.
⢠Translate client operational needs into project plans.
Government Regulatory Compliance
⢠Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, procurement rules, and security protocols.
⢠Support government-specific processes such as NEPA reviews, historic preservation, or federally mandated reporting.
ā¢Maintainfamiliarity with government leasing, funding cycles, and acquisition methodologies.
Financial & Contract Management
⢠Develop andmaintaindetailed project budgets.
⢠Administer contracts,purchaseorders, and change orders.
⢠Support competitive RFP processes.
Risk, Quality & Technical Oversight
ā¢Identifyproject risks and implement mitigation strategies.
⢠Conduct quality reviews of drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
⢠Ensure adherence to Cushman & Wakefield project governance and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
⢠Bachelorās degree in a relevant field.
⢠5ā10 years of project management experience.
⢠Experience with government clients preferred.
⢠Understanding ofconstruction processes and project financials.
⢠Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
⢠PMP, CCM, or LEED a plus.
⢠Ability to obtain government clearance ifrequired.
