In this role, you will deliver evidence-based treatments to help patients improve strength, range of motion, endurance, coordination, and overall functional mobility. Because many patients are experiencing pain, this position requires sensitivity,strong communicationskills, and the ability to build trusting relationships through hands-on patient care.
A caregiver in this positionworks40 hours per week| 7:30amā4:00pm or 8:00amā4:30pm| 1 month/weekend (Saturday andSunday)|1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday/year.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:Ā
Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.Ā
Perform initial andon-goingassessments ofpatient'scondition.Ā
Establish,reviseand evaluate a plan of care which isappropriate toproblemsidentifiedand involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.Ā
Perform therapy interventionsutilizingstandard physical therapy techniques and skills asappropriate forthe age and condition of the patient.
Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants,studentsand other support personnel.Ā
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Ā
Bachelor's Degree or certificateĀ
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red CrossĀ
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Ā
Experience in a clinical area
Acute care experience
