The Aladdin Client Business (ACB) encompasses all the client-facing functions of Aladdin and is the entity responsible for growing the Aladdin business with our external clients, implementing our solutions and managing the services across the relationship lifetimes.
Role Description
The Business Development teamengages withprospective clients to understand strategic business challenges and deliver mission-critical solutions.
Theteamis looking to hire a motivatedVice Presidentwith a proventrack recordofconsultative and value-based sellingwithin thealternative investmentsindustry. Thisrole sits at the forefront of private markets data and technology and will be responsible for selling our market-leadingeFront(front-to-back office solution suite for alternative asset classes) andPreqin(premier provider of private markets data) offeringsacross a variety ofindustryverticals, with a particular focus onasset servicers (Fund Administrators) andasset managers(General Partners and Fund of Funds).Private markets arearapidly growingand strategic focusatBlackRockand weseekdynamic and passionate individuals to seize this opportunity:
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of go-forward strategies forprivate market data and workflow solutions, taking ownership of business development targets and initiatives to drive revenue growth.
Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline ofopportunities spanning multiple solutions, ensuring alignment with overall businessobjectivesand focus areas.
Createsalesplanand define addressable market segmentstoidentifynew businessopportunities.
Build andmaintainrelationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and challenges to positionoursolutions effectively.
Establish andmaintainC-level relationships and introduce BlackRock senior executives to foster and expand these relationships both horizontally and vertically within the account.
Act as a key stakeholder in the ongoing development of thebroaderbusiness; providingappropriate feedbackand insights to the executive team.
Develop strong relationships across all groups within Aladdin to ensurean excellentclient experience and convey client requirements toproductteamsas necessary.
Conduct research on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential clients to inform sales strategies andmarket positioning.
Skills And Qualifications
The ideal candidate willpossesssome combination of all the following:
5+ years of relevant experience infinancial servicesor technologysaleswith a proventrack recordof achieving and exceedingrevenue targets, both individually and in collaboration with others.
Demonstrated experience in leading complex, multi-year sales strategies across global markets, with a focus on C-suite engagement and long-term relationship building.
Exposure to other privatemarketstechnology providers/products such as investor portals, data rooms, portfolio monitoring, reporting tools, etc.
Previousexperience working with fund managers and assetservicers.
Strategic vision to understand the direction of thealternatives industry, with an ability to foresee and act on emergingmarkettrends,helping to shapeour product strategy and direction.
Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for seniorexternaland internal stakeholders
Leadership experience indeveloping and scalingteams, providingmentorshipand settinggrowth objectives
Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing multiple complex initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
Ability toidentifyand develop new business opportunities whilemaintaininga deep focus on customer success and satisfaction
Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of large-scale initiatives while collaborating effectively across the business
