POSITION SUMMARY: Â
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving group revenue for the assigned resorts and hotels by securing new business, cultivating referrals and fostering repeat clientele.Â
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead group sales efforts by collaboration with team on and executing strategies that drive revenue and maximize profitabilityÂ
- Proactively identify, solicit, and close new business while nurturing existing clients to encourage repeat bookingsÂ
- Maintain an organized and detailed pipeline of prospective and booked business, ensuring timely follow-up and goal trackingÂ
- Follow all company and departmental Standard of Operation, policies and proceduresÂ
- Ensure clear and concise communication regarding all rate and meeting information within guidelines providedÂ
- Perform in a manner that demonstrates the philosophies of Big Cedar Lodge.
- Maintain customer relations, trade relations, industry relations, and staff relations.
- Promote all company properties and offer information to clients to cross sell the brand.
- Work closely with Conference Services, Food & Beverage and all Resort Operations teams to ensure seamless client experiences and garner opportunities for additional revenue generation through upsellingÂ
- Proactively identify and qualify potential prospects through targeted outreach strategies, including cold calling, industry events, sales campaigns and other lead generation initiatives
- Leverage technology and sales platforms (e.g., Agylisis, Proposal Path, CRM systems) to ensure proper processes both internally and externallyÂ
- Have working knowledge of all departments, Big Cedar Lodge, and the resort's amenities.
- Participate in all sales meetings.
- Perform other tasks as needed, directed, or assigned
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required:Â Â High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 4-year degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales capacity preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Outstanding communication skills â Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written form, ensuring an exceptional level of service and follow-through with clients, partner, and internal teams as well as the ability to confidently present resort offerings, conduct site tours and represent the brand in various sales and networking settings.Â
- Sales & Negotiation Skills â Strong ability to build relationships, close deals and maximize revenue while providing a personalize luxury experience for clients and guestsÂ
- Basic Computer & CRM Proficiency- Experience with customer relationship management software, word processing tools and digital communication platformsÂ
- Business & Market Knowledge â Understanding the luxury hospitality industry, high-end clientele expectations and delivery of excellence in serviceÂ
- Team Collaboration â Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with operations and guest services teams to ensure seamless execution of client expectationsÂ
