The Email Operations Specialist will manage and optimize email marketing campaigns and automation workflows while supporting overall email channel performance. This hybrid execution and strategy role is responsible for deploying campaigns, building automation journeys, analyzing performance data, and contributing strategic insights that improve engagement and conversions across client accounts.
Build and deploy 10–20 email campaigns per week across multiple email service providers (ESPs).
Set up campaigns in platforms such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Sailthrough, Dotdigital, and Omita.
Perform quality assurance checks on all emails prior to deployment.
Implement light HTML updates to email templates when required.
Manage email scheduling and send cadences.
Design and implement automated customer journey workflows.
Set up trigger-based email sequences and behavioral campaigns.
Build and manage customer audience segments using segmentation logic.
Optimize automation flows based on performance data.
Own email channel performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics.
Provide optimization recommendations based on A/B testing and performance data.
Strategize campaign calendars and email send plans.
Contribute insights that improve campaign performance and outcomes.
Configure integrations between HubSpot, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Work with webhooks and data synchronization or coordinate with internal teams as needed.
Maintain domain health and email hygiene best practices.
Partner with copywriters and clients to execute email strategies.
Communicate proactively about project risks, blockers, and progress.
Provide strategic recommendations on campaign direction and optimization.
5+ years of experience in email marketing operations, marketing automation, or a related field.
Experience working with email service providers such as HubSpot, Klaviyo, Sailthrough, Dotdigital, or similar platforms.
Experience reporting on and optimizing email performance metrics.
Experience with HTML email template updates.
Experience working with multiple ESPs and marketing automation platforms is preferred.
Background in digital marketing or an agency environment is preferred.
Familiarity with CRM integrations such as HubSpot is preferred.
Experience with webhook and API integrations is preferred.
Strong ability to build and manage audience segments and automation logic.
Knowledge of email deliverability and email hygiene best practices.
Strong project management and prioritization skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Excellent English communication skills with clear, mature professional communication.
Detail-oriented approach to campaign execution, QA, and performance monitoring.
Ability to proactively communicate risks, blockers, and project updates while maintaining ownership of channel performance.
